Who we are
The Greenville Chamber Music Society (GCMS) is a nonprofit organization founded with a clear mission: to bring world-class classical music to the heart of Greenville, Texas. We believe that music is a vital part of a thriving community—one that inspires, educates, and unites.
Through exceptional performances, robust educational programs, and inclusive community outreach, GCMS is building a vibrant cultural presence in Hunt County. Whether you're a lifelong classical music enthusiast or hearing a string quartet for the first time, we invite you to join us in experiencing the power and beauty of live music.
What We Do:
Performances: Our upcoming inaugural season will feature ten dynamic performances, including guest artist recitals, appearances by the McKinney Symphony Orchestra, and "DSO On the Go" concerts from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra—all curated to engage and inspire audiences of all ages.
Education & Youth Outreach: We’re investing in the future of music in the community through a high school summer orchestra camp (launching 2026), building in-school partnerships with Greenville ISD, and private lessons for young musicians.
Community Engagement: From free public lectures and youth competitions to performances in schools, parks, and other nontraditional venues, GCMS is committed to making classical music accessible and meaningful throughout the community.
We are proud to serve as a cultural catalyst for Greenville and beyond—and we’re just getting started.
