The Greenville Chamber Music Society opens its second season with a spectacular evening of music from the Greenville Pops Orchestra, celebrating the unmistakable music of John Williams.

Under the direction of conductor Jason Lim, the GPO brings to life the soaring themes, thrilling fanfares, and unforgettable musical worlds of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and more. Few composers have shaped the sound of the movies or the musical imagination of generations quite like Williams.

Experience these iconic scores performed live by the remarkable musicians of the Greenville Pops Orchestra in the newly upgraded Greenville Municipal Auditorium. With the GMA sounding better than ever, this is music made to be heard live: cinematic, exhilarating, and larger than life.

Two performers, four hands, one piano, and an evening devoted to the music and magic of Disney. The Marcin and Yuka Piano Duo brings beloved music from generations of Disney films to the keyboard, from classic favorites to modern scores. Seated together at a single piano, the two performers share the keyboard, transforming one instrument into something capable of remarkable color, energy, and orchestral scale.

Polish pianist Marcin Parys has earned top prizes in more than thirty international competitions, while Japanese pianist Yuka Mikata trained in both Japan and Russia and has become known in the United States as both a performer and an organizer of piano competitions and special performances. The two met in Texas in 2020 while serving as competition judges and officially formed the Marcin and Yuka Piano Duo in 2022, releasing their debut album, Fire and Water, that same year. Since then, they have performed throughout the United States and Japan.

Marcin’s powerful, dynamic musicality and Yuka’s delicate, evocative approach make them natural partners for music that can move from exuberant and theatrical to quiet and tender in the space of a single song. The Magic of Four Hands offers a new way to experience some of Disney’s most beloved music, with two pianists sharing one instrument and bringing the sound of the screen to life at the piano.

Cellist Tsun-yuet Emmanuel Kwok is a Nelson University string faculty member and Assistant Principal Cellist of the McKinney Philharmonic, with additional work alongside the Dallas Chamber Symphony and Texarkana Symphony Orchestra. Born in Hong Kong, Kwok made his Carnegie Hall solo debut in 2023 and has premiered more than 30 contemporary works; he is also Adjunct Professor of Music at Tarrant County College.

Pianist Xinzhuo Li is known for her expressive artistry across classical and contemporary repertoire. A prize winner at the Clara Schumann International Piano Competition and the Chopin Memorial Award in Hong Kong, she has performed as a soloist in Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Boston, and Washington, D.C., and has studied in masterclasses with Gila Goldstein, Christopher Guzman, and Alexander Kobrin. Together, Kwok and Li built this program around Rachmaninoff's Sonata for Piano and Cello for a 2025–26 DFW recital tour, and bring a Chopin-centered evening to Greenville this season.

Pianist Eldred Marshall brings extraordinary virtuosity, intellectual depth, and a remarkable command of the piano repertoire to the Greenville stage. A graduate of Yale University, Marshall earned three master’s degrees from Southern Methodist University and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas. His career has taken him across the United States and throughout Europe and Asia, both as a pianist and conductor, and his ambitious recital projects have included performing the complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas from memory, as well as Bach’s Goldberg Variations and Beethoven’s monumental Diabelli Variations. Praised by the Press Enterprise for his “dazzling technique,” Marshall offers Greenville audiences the opportunity to experience a pianist of remarkable range and musicianship in the intimacy of a solo recital.

LadyMay Sings the Greats: From Whitney to Sade to Adele.

Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield takes center stage in a thrilling tribute to legendary voices—from Whitney Houston’s soaring ballads, Sade’s sultry sound to Adele’s soul-stirring hits—alongside timeless classics like At Last and Natural Woman. A perfect night out for both long-time music lovers and new audiences alike.

The Piano Trio of the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra comes to Greenville for an evening centered on one of the great masterpieces of chamber music: Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Trio No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 90, “Dumky.” Violinist Marina Dichenko, cellist Tsun-yuet Emmanuel Kwok, and pianist Xinzhuo Li bring together three accomplished North Texas musicians with extensive experience as soloists, orchestral players, and chamber musicians. Dvořák’s beloved “Dumky” Trio moves freely between haunting Slavic melodies, moments of deep reflection, fiery dances, and bursts of irrepressible joy, giving each musician a chance to shine while showcasing the extraordinary intimacy and interplay of the piano trio. This is chamber music at its most expressive, colorful, and deeply human.

The 20th century opened an extraordinary range of new possibilities for classical music, and this program from Mount Vernon Music explores some of its most lyrical and compelling voices. At its center are Charles Martin Loeffler’s atmospheric Two Rhapsodies for oboe, viola, and piano, music of remarkable color and imagination, alongside works by Ruth Gipps, Ferruccio Busoni, and Nikolai Medtner.

Rather than following a single musical path, these four composers drew from Romanticism, folk traditions, earlier classical forms, and the rapidly changing musical world around them to create deeply individual styles. The result is a program that moves from the haunting sound world of Loeffler to the warmth and vitality of Gipps, the elegance of Busoni, and the sweeping Romanticism of Medtner’s Piano Quintet.

Mount Vernon Music brings together pianist Evan Mitchell, clarinetist Ivan Petruzziello, oboist Sharon Lacey, violinists Mark Miller and Andres Bravo, violist Ute Miller, and cellist Noémie Golubovic for an afternoon that reveals just how beautiful, varied, and expressive 20th-century chamber music can be.

The Mansfield Philharmonic (MansPhil) brings the brilliance and elegance of Mozart to Greenville for the penultimate concert of the season. Founded in 2017 as Mansfield’s first performing orchestra, MansPhil is an all-volunteer ensemble bringing together talented high school and college students, educators, active musicians, and professionals from across North Texas. Named D Magazine’s “Best Suburban Orchestra” in 2023, the orchestra is led by Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Eldred Marshall, alongside founding concertmaster Thao Pham and Education Director Fletcher Rudd. Built on a mission of making great orchestral music accessible while strengthening communities through performance and education, MansPhil brings its full orchestral forces to the Greenville stage for an afternoon of Mozart at his most vibrant, graceful, and unmistakable.

GCMS closes the season the way it started it — by investing right back into the community. "Raise Your Voice" is the Society's end-of-year fundraiser, and it's a night built entirely from Greenville's own talent.

The first half introduces the newly formed GCMS Chamber Choir, making its debut as the Society's newest ensemble. The second half turns the stage over to GCMS musicians for a program still taking shape — which is half the fun of a closing night.

Here's the part that matters: every dollar raised goes straight back into what GCMS is building — the youth orchestra, the GISD partnership, private lessons for young musicians, and free performances in schools, parks, and places live music doesn't usually reach. In two short seasons this organization has gone from an idea to a resident orchestra, a chamber choir, and a full concert calendar. Come out, hear great music, and help us keep growing.
